They help consumers learn more about a product they are considering buying, and a good review gives them the confidence necessary to invest. The internet is at everyone’s fingertips now, so it is the prime source for those wanting information to do the research.

Using blog posts for purchasing decisions is really no surprise when one thinks about it. Recent reports state that bloggers influence around 40% of shoppers, and just a bit larger percentage purchase based on the retail site or store itself, so anyone can see the significance! Marketing companies are getting crafty, and why not use these popular faces and opinions to promote their products?

Are They Paid to Promote?

The answer here is yes and no. Some bloggers are paid to promote, but in most cases, the more popular are not. They certainly receive the products for free to try out and promote. Some companies may tell them only to blog if they enjoy the product.
